2008年11月8日 · ESS Tuning makes a nice twinscrew kit for the 530i. Twinscrews give full boost at low rpm, so you get a huge torque bump to get the heavy 530i off the line. The E46M3 motor might make the same peak hp, but not the same torque. It would not be my first choice for the E39, unless I stumbled across one for $1500.

Some may not like this but I am really leaning towards swapping in a Ford coyote because I am absolutely in love with that motor and because it is very similar to the dimensions of a M62 ...

2011年3月13日 · If you have a 528i, you cannot really upgrade unless you swap over the wiring, engine computer, transmission, transmission computer, and get the electronics aligned to your car. It is doable, but not really worth it.

2014年2月12日 · I did the engine swap on my 4runner from 3.0 to 3.4. I'm glad to see you did the maintenance on the 2JZ-GTE before putting it in the vehicle. A lot of people don't considered all the cost of doing that along with the swap.

2024年8月22日 · So, in order to give something back to the forum, I decided to create a post of my M54 rebuild project. By now the engine is completely assembled, I will start the actual swap this week. I currently drive a 2001 e39 520i fitted with the entry level M54B22 engine.
