The BMW E30 is the second generation of BMW 3 Series, which was produced from 1982 to 1994 and replaced the E21 3 Series. The model range included 2-door saloon (sometimes referred to as a coupé) and convertible body styles, [4][5] as well as being the first 3 Series to be produced in 4-door saloon and wagon/estate body styles.

2023年7月17日 · A convertible E30 chassis became the basis of the project for a couple of reasons. First, the extra floor bracing made it ideal for the lack of roof structure present in a ute. Second, M Division just so happened to have an E30 convertible at their disposal. They got to work cutting out the rear seat section, opening it up to the taillight panel.

Finally got the genuine M3 rear quarter and outer wheel arch welded on which meant the side skirt could be test fitted. Bought a Isuzu Dmax tub to cut up for the inner tub panel.
