2012年10月15日 · The Durabond 90 works great. Everything is solid as a rock now and fairly smooth. I can see now that it's never going to be perfect with Durabond only though. You can sand a ridge for 10 minutes and all your really doing is polishing it. So what's the easiest and cheapest way to go as far as a top coat? Can I basically put anything on top now?

Durabond is hard as a rock, but lightweight can be sanded with a lot of effort. I did 3 coats lightweight 5 minute on my patches with Westpac black dot skim coat.

2016年1月24日 · There is no difference in strength between Durabond EZ sand 5 up to 220. My crew will always use 45 over 90. The dry time is so much faster with 45 and workable time is only a bit more with 90. If you want to do drywall repairs faster look into using fibre fuse.

First, to match the existing plaster kinda, and second, so I could power sand it with a festool rt400. The power sanding worked nicely with 120 paper, giving me a flat surface that blended seamlessly with the plaster.
