Based on the ending of Chapterhouse, the original Dune 7 would have the evolved Face Dancers as the great enemy, which would be a criticism of communism, hive-mind thinking, and post-humanism (eg the other extreme of the autocratic tyranny of Leto II), but would easily be interpreted as anti-LGBT or something.

2021年1月12日 · There will never be a Dune 7. Herbert died after Chapterhouse, so Dune ends after that. If you really can't let the series go, I would say read the BH/KJA sequels or Dune Revenant, but those are NOT canon and will probably never come close to feeling like Frank's books. Or even better: just reread Dune.

2023年8月29日 · There was an interview included in the audiobooks with Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson talking about their process for concluding the saga. They were writing some of the prequel stories and stumbled across some notes from Frank Herbert that could help steer the remaining story for Dune 7 (Which became 7 and 8).
