The Search panel in Firefox Settings lets you customize your search options. You can add or remove search engines, change your default search engine, change address bar settings, assign or change keyword shortcuts, turn the search bar on or off and choose whether to display search suggestions first or not at all.

2015年11月13日 · After some tries to duplicate this problem I found out that DuckDuckGo, Yahoo, Bing, and other search engines are hidden when you use languages like Nederlands, Suomi, or others I haven't tried. Don't know what's the need behind this, but you can always turn your device language back to English to use them.

2013年8月6日 · Selecting that on your Firefox search bar will also select DuckDuckGo as the search engine for address bar searches. As for hijacking, I don't know what would cause that, unless your settings were reset somehow.

When FireFox just updated, it still has duckduckgo.com in the browser bar and the search box at the top, but when a new tab opens the search box in the middle of the page is no longer duckduckgo's search box it is now Firfox/google search box. It has firefox logo and google written beside the box.
