Jul 6, 2023 · Additionally, Lolth occasionally would turn someone back from a drider in the earlier editions if they impressed her enough as part of a test. So at least in her eyes, if you proved you were capable of clawing bac to the top even after being cursed as a drider, you deserved to be restored (a rare honor, I'm sure)

Dec 7, 2021 · Most of the Drider’s this PC saves, might end up being a lost cause, which could make for a good story too. Maybe the PC is able to convince one of them through a series of good dialogue checks to stay in line, if only to keep them from becoming a Drider again.

perhaps a stupid question, but is there a mod for a Drider race? I've always loved the general concept of half person-half spider races, and seeing as they're in the game, I was wondering if someone made them playable yet. Couldn't find it on Nexus, and I don't know if there's any other worthwhile source for mods as of now.

Aug 11, 2023 · Like OP, I let the drider go past, and I did the whole Last Light Inn scene where you keep the cleric from getting kidnapped. It seems like the only place I haven't explored in the shadow cursed region is the area of deep shadow that puts you in turn based mode and kills you in a matter of rounds.

Aug 20, 2023 · When first time I saw the drider squad I let them go, then when I arrived at the hotel, they said they would like to help me to ambush the drider, I told them drider already left. And that's all, I cannot find drider anywhere, there are event marks where drider imprisons guys, but no one is there and nothing happened.

Yes, If you choose to help the Harper's against the drider, the moon lantern will be taken by the harpers, but if you then later get to the last light inn and accept the task from Jaheira (after winning the Marcus vs Isabel fight upstairs) she will give you the moonlantern collected by the harper earlier.

Jun 11, 2020 · The drider form is a punishment in the sense that the drow who is being cursed failed at their destined life and abilities, so Lolth curses them with a monstrous form that is closer to her own in order to give them a handicap. The rest of the drow ostracize them because they are failures, not specifically the spider body.

The lore on drow is not consistent but my understanding of the most common take is Drider's condition are as result of punishment from Lolth. Since Lolth views womanhood as the most important part of a person part of the punishment of being turning into a Drider is having that stripped from you. Thus Driders are Genderless/Sexless.
