2013年2月16日 · I'm on` Doxil, as a single agent, for my second recurrence in a year. First remission, after optimal debulking, was 15 months. Second remission, after Alimpta/Carbo, was 6.5 months, despite a complete response to line two chemo and the tumor vanishing.

2020年5月25日 · Statistically Doxil is the milder of many treatments, including first-line Taxol/Carbo although it does have a most serious side effect of possible harm to the heart, especially after a specific cumulative dose. I was on Doxil for a year and had to have echocardiograms every three months.

2014年1月18日 · My niece went through the treatment of Doxil for 3rd stage ovarian cancer and had no side effects. She did not lose her hair. She had carboplaten and something else her 1st time treatment and lost her hair. Took a 3 month break and went on to the 2nd round of treatment which was Doxil. She even grew her hair back.

2011年1月30日 · When I had doxil, I started with a rash after the 1st treatment and after the 2nd treatment it covered my body and, yes, it was like little blisters. Based on this we stopped that drug. My gyn/onc chemo room always gives premeds to prevent allergic reactions; however, it did not appear to help with doxil.

2010年11月1日 · Doxil is a funny drug and for the most part I can deal especially if it works on this cancer. I just hope the next 3 treatments will be tollerable. Good luck to you I hope you find something to ease your pain.

2019年2月20日 · My mom has been on Doxil for approx. 3 years and Doxil & Avastin for approx. 6 months. A few side effects (darkening skin, mouth irritation, slight fatigue), but nothing that can't be managed. For the entire 3.5 years, Doxil & Doxil/Avastin have brought her to NED (once) and kept her stable.

2022年12月21日 · After the first two combined doxil/avastin treatments my CA-125 dropped considerably, and from there has inched down. It is still not in remission range, although I have a couple of treatments left to go. On the whole, the side effects from doxil are tolerable for me, and I didn't lose my hair, which is a plus.

2024年4月30日 · It sounds like you are having infusion reactions. Those can take different form. I had reactions to Doxil 3 1/2 years ago but returned to try it again in December with steroids the day before and day of treatment plus Benadryl, running it very slowly (5 hours) the first two times and now four without issues.

2020年12月8日 · I only had two cycles of doxil/carbo, the skin in my armpits and under breasts turned dark brown, at first I thought it was bruising but oncology said the discoloration was normal. I stopped treatment due to many other side effects and the skin did return to normal color but I can’t recall how long it took.

2020年7月11日 · Doxil: First, I learned that I should not take long hot baths or showers. I think that is because it opens the Capillaries in your extremities and allows the Doxil to go there. That is probably why you have heard suggestions of icing your feet and hands during treatment.
