2006年10月12日 · So the Dingwall six string version has a substantial width neck/fretboard. Even 1mm wider than the new Ibanez BTB806MS 37" multi scale which by the way sounds fantastic. Problem is it weighs 11.3 pounds. I'm looking at a Dingwall 6'er that weighs 9.5lbs. Just not sure what the resale market is for Dingwall 6'ers in case I would have to sell it.

2021年6月10日 · Dingwall's playability are incredible - necks are perfect, small tiny frets feels sooooo good, neck dive on any model i have tried, is non-existent. Some people have a mind struggle, at first, switching to fan frets, and that is fine, but i think that is the minority of users.

2022年2月7日 · Those AB are fantastic for sure. I don't know if playing a Custom would make a standard Dingwall "bad" because at the moment the NG3 is the 2nd instrument I have ever play (I have try an ABI in a shop but unplugged only). The AB neck joint is so cool but I can't tell how they are side by side.

2021年7月9日 · Picked up my whaleburst 4-string with FD-3N pickups from them (w/EMG pre-amp as opposed to the NG3's Darkglass). My NG3 5-string is black w/same maple neck. Dingwall basses: A lady on the street and a freak for the beat.

2020年4月3日 · The NG3 has a neck pickup, whereas the NG2 only has bridge+middle Depending on who you ask, the 'dingwall sound' is probably the bridge+middle config. The NG2 can do bridge+middle either as parallel connection or series, while the NG3 only has parallel. Check these diagrams: (the Dbird switch is the one that's also in the NG3)

2019年10月31日 · I'm about to purchase a Dingwall NG3 5 String bass and want to tune it to A-E-A-D-G. It will be my first Multiscale bass, so I have no experience with it. I currently play an Ibanez Bass with a scale of 34" with these strings: D'Addario EPS165. This is a 4-String pack: 045-065-085-105. I add a Single PSB145 tapered string for the low A.
