2014年7月15日 · Exactly! If MP3 can do higher bitrates, DTS-CORE 5.1 1536 Kbps ~ MP3 2.0 512 Kbps. Or even more than 256 Kbps per mono channel, since LFE uses lower bitrate in compression algorithm. Even if DTS core used some old-school not efficient codec like MP2, as research papers describe, this is still large bitrate. But I think codec improved over time.

2013年7月11日 · So, again, there's no such thing as a Dolby or DTS mix. If there's a visible DD 5.1 track on a BD, it likely uses the same low bitrate as the DVD version. It's not meaningful to compare a lossless dts-MA track to a low bitrate DD 5.1 version. I believe the OP is asking about differences between lossy DTS and DD 5.1.

2011年11月25日 · Hmm, yeah. I just compared the two on the disc that I'm watching and the DTS 5.1 sounds a little stronger. However, this is likely because I am only using tv speakers. If I had the proper equipment the master audio version would probably have the edge, I'm guessing.

2014年1月5日 · Seems as if Samsung TV converts dolby signals from hdmi connected sources to DTS Neo 2:5. I hooked up sony hts5 soundbar via ARC/HDMI and didn't get 5.1 output for cable box. I then hooked up tv to soundbar via optical and then got DTS 5.1 for cable box on my HT5 soundbar. Your soundbar/avr just needs to be able to decode DTS Neo 2:5.
