The DSB Class MX is a lightweight, diesel-electric locomotive built by the Swedish company Nydqist & Holm between 1960 and 1962 for the Danish State Railways. After having great success with the MY locos, DSB started to search for a lighter locomotive for some of the smaller stretches on which the MYs were too heavy to run.

GM dieselmotor type 567D med 12-cyl. koblet til en D25 hoveddynamo, der leverede strøm til 4 banemotorer type D47. MX 1001-1021 blev dog leveret med dieselmotor type 567C på 1.425 hk. Hver maskine kostede ca. 1,3 mill. kr.

Die Baureihe MX (I) sind dieselelektrische Lokomotiven, die von Danske Statsbaner (deutsch Dänische Staatsbahnen) zu Beginn der 1930er Jahre beschafft wurden, um Dampflokomotiven zu ersetzen. Gegen Ende der 1920er Jahre beschlossen die Danske Statsbaner, Dampflokomotiven im Strecken- und Rangierdienst zu ersetzen.

2012年11月30日 · The Class MY (and MX) is a very familiar looking locomotive to us North Americans (well, and Australians too I suppose). The Class MY was built by Swedish firm NOHAB between 1954 and 1965 for the Danish State Railways (DSB) which began the replacement of steam locomotives.
