The DAF F241 series is the name of a cab used on a series of heavy-duty, mostly long distance trucks produced by the Dutch manufacturer DAF from 1973 until 1994. They are better known as the DAF 2800, 3300 and 3600. The cab was a wider development of the F218, DAF's first tilt cab placed on among others 2500.

2020年3月23日 · In November 1980, truck maker DAF introduced their last conventional truck and tractor model, known as the N2800-series. It was specifically developed and built for the African and Middle Eastern heavy truck market. In practice, that meant the N2800 was perfectly capable of dealing with harsh driving and climate conditions, all day long.

The 25 tonnes (55,115 lbs), 288 DIN-hp truck is powered by an 11.6 liter inline-six from the DAF 1160-family of diesel engines that sprouted from the Leyland O.680, back in the late sixties.

THE DAF 2800 Series for Europe offers a choice of four versions of the company's 11.6-litre engine naturally aspirated or turbocharged, coupled either to a ZF or Fuller gearbox. The first example to be made for the British market is the DKTD which uses the turbocharged engine and the ZF 6-speed splitter gearbox.

It had a 11.6-liter series DKX engine with an output of 330 hp and was primarily as a tractor NTT. In 1980 to replace the big-nosed model N2500, which was actuatlly an International Paystar 5000, came a new model N2800. These chassis were designed primarily for tipper bodies. The DAF 2800 looks well made and sturdy and the Transmatic system works well. As with all things there is a drawback — the ZF system adds about -£4,000 to the 2800's basic cost, without extras, of £22,380.
