2020年8月23日 · I bought a Verso D4D 2011 61 around a month ago. The problem i have is that pretty much straightaway it let out a burst of white/light blue smoke every now and again..nothing on cold starts, only when it had been running a while.

It is blowing blue smoke from exhaust when I accelerate or when the motor is above, say, 2500rpm. The smoke stops after a short while with motorway driving, but returns after an urban cycle. Any help would be appreciated.

2014年1月31日 · Blue smoke is indicative of burning oil, and the heavy shaking is showing that it's not firing properly on all cylinders. Check your oil levels and see if they have gotten low. Check your plugs and see if they are fouled or vaporized.

If the exhaust smoke is blue but it is not too dense, it may be caused by a blockage in the crankcase ventilation system. ⚠️ In this case, the exhaust smoke will come from the engine and not from the exhaust pipe .

2012年12月4日 · Blue smoke makes me think it's motor oil rather than fuel which is normally a dark or black smoke. This makes me wonder if your mechanic has a point or if it's just valve stem seals. There is also a possibility that it's a cylinder head or head gasket problem .....

2020年8月26日 · My 2011 Avensis t27 2.0 diesel is more like a white/blue smoke (more white than blue) and it only smokes when i accelerate hard at around 1.5-2.0 RPM. Sometimes it doesn't come smoke at all, but most of the times it does when the engine have to work hard.

The first smoke seen is normally white but after reaching normal temperature and when driving at constant speed between approx 1800 and 2200 rpm changes to intermittent blue puffs which occur at 3 to 5 second.

2012年10月3日 · Very common problem which will destroy your engine after crystalising the oil and blocking up the oil pickup. Got mine fixed in time. Pre-2008 d4d's had copper injector seals at the base which blow out. Apparently the aluminium ones they use now fix this.
