All sightings besides Nairobi have been within 300km of the sea, although I have a theory that it may be linked to large bodies of water, given that Nairobi is 250km away from one of the largest lakes in the world, Lake Victoria.

By leveling up, Cursola can Learn Ancient Power, Hex, Power gem, and Night shade as special attacks. Through TMs, it can learn Hyper Beam, Snore, Icy wind, Giga drain, Whirlpool, Brine, Round, and Hex.

Per Serebii, Corsola can be fished up with a good or super rod in pretty much any city that has access to the Ocean. In Johto these cities would be Olivine, Cianwood, and Cherrygrove and in Kanto it'd be Cerulean and Cinnabar. The routes that cut thru these oceans are also valid as well.
