Jul 22, 2015 · Anyways, I have read the FSM many times, and though it gives the location for the Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (ECTS), which controls the ECM, it does not show the location for the Thermal transmission (Water Temp. Sender), which sends the signal to the Water Temp Gauge. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Sep 13, 2016 · You are correct, this is the Coolant temp sensor. The Sensor gets read by the ecu, then out your gauge cluster.

One under the intake flap motor on the right side of the engine (driver's side) tucked way down near engine between large coolant line and the engine and the other sensor is located between the radiator and engine most of the way down on smaller coolant hose about mid car.
