We made another product that was used as compass fluid; it was "Mineral Seal" oil, a replacement for oil from seals. Again, a highly refined kerosene type oil.

2012年1月9日 · My Ritchie compass needed same, ordered diaphragm and new seals from the manufacturer, and used a headlamp polishing kit on the acrylic cover, filled, froze, filled, and tightened it up with the seal screw and all was well. Easy-peasy. If you watch much "How It's Made" they have an episode showing the production of one of Ritchie's fancy compasses.
