2019年8月19日 · Laying eggs is what the wasps are TRYING to do, but cannot inside a common fig OR inside a Smyrna. Both have longer styles. The Caprifigs have the shorter style or stalk on the ovary and the wasps are successful in laying eggs there.

Is anyone else growing this variety? I know there was some discussion a few years ago on figs4fun whether this was a common fig, san pedro or a smyrna, but no follow-up on what the results were that I could find.
