2021年3月7日 · Was doing some filming at the range the other day, had both the Colt LMG upper and a newly acquired Colt IAR upper out, each on on a full auto lower. Colt LMG upper always runs 100% Colt IAR upper will run on semi just fine, but gets hammer follow in full auto, max 2-3 rounds before a dead trigger (i.e. hammer follows).

2017年9月25日 · The Colt IAR lower is identical to a 6920 or 6940 lower, with the only difference being the auto sear and 3 position selector, it is also marked IAR. The LMG which was the predecessor to the IAR uses a fixed stock Colt Canada lower. It is a 2 position safe/auto only and has a unique auto sear.

2025年2月20日 · My black Colt IAR is 1 of 10 original military uppers that were made with the markings on the left side of the receiver. The scope on this rifle is an original USMC Elcan SU-269. I just assumed that if these rifles were ever issued, we might see an optic like this on it.
