2007年11月9日 · As far as I can tell, it could be any of the following: Alternator, power steering pump, compressor, idler pulley or the water pump. I'm not an expert by any means, so it really could be anything at this point. The noise does increase in pitch while giving it gas.

I removed the belts and started the car; the noise was still there, and having the car on ramps, I crawled underneath while it was running to see what I could hear. And then I messed myself. 2013年5月1日 · Think about your question! If you take off the drive belt and the noise changes, then that is most likely the problem area. Timing belt and its componets are not affected! Mechanic needs to take a look. Possible crank pulley/damper or other driven componets.
