2017年3月19日 · 172 is great for training or short trips with 2 people maybe 3 depending on weight. 177 is a terrific plane if it has the 160 or better 180hp engine. It handles better then 172, but it hasn’t been built since the 70’s and some parts can be challenging to obtain. 182 is the winner of the 3 for range, useful load, speed, interior room.

2012年3月24日 · retman, I couldn't imagine flying a 172 in 40-50 knots at runway elevation. I live in the Appalachians and it is often very windy here in these hills as well. I'm definitely going to have to learn this stuff. To be brutally honest, I don't think I want to fly solo until I feel confident in greater wind conditions than I was in today.

2015年11月29日 · They're lighter-weight airframes than the newer 180 hp 172S (1999-present); and they're carbureted, as opposed to the 172S' fuel injection. There are a lot of these conversions around now. Cessna built a few with the carbureted O-360-A4N in 1983-85 (started out as a special order for Embry-Riddle), and called it the 172Q "Cutlass".

What I ended up doing is to mount the tablet horizontally on the yoke using a small 3D printed clip. The clip is designed to slide between the tablet's backside and the sleeve, and is designed to sit on the center part of the Cessna yoke.

2019年5月15日 · So I am looking at a C-172 at the moment and it has 25,1XX hours on it. It is a 1982 P model with Penn Yan 180HP and 2550 GW increase, along with heaps of other good STC's that elimiate some AD's, or reduce or remove periodic inspections of some stuff. it does have Cessna SID's done in 2012 (made mandatory in Australia).
