2009年7月1日 · The second time, there was less urine, no flecks, just a significant red colour. The pee turned closer to yellow as he was finishing up. We've read that bloody urine following catheterization isn't uncommon, but this long (6 days later) doesn't seem right, especially when under observation at the vet, his urine returned to normal.

Anyway- YES, you should have your cat checked by a vet, it might be wise to take a urine sample to the vets practice as well. In generall cats are very clean animals- a cat that is peeing elsewhere is in some distress.

2011年9月10日 · Fingers crossed this turns out OK. If you dont get the answers or serious concern from your vet Id ask around and find out the best cat vet in your area. A lot of vets are good with dogs but not as savvy with cat issues. I worked with all the vets in my area. It took awhile before I found the best cat vet practise in my area. They are gems.

2010年6月1日 · Cats, as obligate carnivores, are supposed to have acidic urine (pH of 6.0-6.5 or so). When you get over 6.5, the urine is alkaline and the cat can develop struvite crystals. All the "veterinary prescription diets" do is add dl-methionine to acidify the urine to a food that is high in carbs (which is alkalinizing).
