Cary Lee Conklin [1] (born February 29, 1968) is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for the Washington Redskins and the San Francisco 49ers. Born and raised in Yakima, Washington, Conklin graduated from its Eisenhower High School in 1986.

Cary Conklin enters his 20th season in the NFL in 2024, and his 16th season with the Lions. Prior to the Lions, Conklin was a college scout for both the St. Louis Rams and the then-Washington Redskins. Conklin has also spent five years as a college coach

A fourth-round draft pick in 1990, he spent his first two seasons on injured reserve with a knee injury. He backed up Mark Rypien and Rich Gannon in 1993, completing 46-of-87 passes for 496 yards and three touchdowns.
