Carlton Bank is a hill in the Cleveland Hills, in north-east England. It is within Carlton Moor in the North York Moors and overlooks the villages of Carlton-in-Cleveland and Faceby. [2] The summit provides extensive views of Teesside including Middlesbrough and Redcar to the north as well as the surrounding moorland.

This walk climbs to Carlton Bank on Carlton Moor in the North York Moors National Park. You can start the walk from the car park at Lord Stones Country Park which lies just to the east of the hill. Take the Cleveland Way west signposted to Huthwaite Green and climb uphill on the stone-stepped path onto Carlton Bank. At the trig point at spot height 408 (grid ref. NZ519025) carry straight on keeping the edge of the bank on your left.

2025年3月23日 · This trail takes you to the summit of Cringle Moor before circling back around and to the summit of the neighbouring Carlton Bank, making a rough figure of out route with its centre at the Lordstones Campsite and Cafe, an excellent spot to stop for some refreshments.

This is a varied trail taking you over Carlton Bank, across Carlton Moor and Live Moor, and back through the trees of Faceby Plantation. You can enjoy great views on a clear day as you make your way round but care is needed on the rougher sections, especially in wetter conditions and particularly in the plantation.
