2008年3月6日 · The . 1982 CR480 has more in common with the 1981 CR450 than the 1983 CR480. Personally I would run from the 1981 450 and th 1982 480, and do what you can to find a good 1983 480.

2010年7月7日 · My 82 CR480R fires up no problem now. The biggest problem with this bike is getting a good kick with your left leg. It just isn't natural after many years of right leg kickers. To make it worse, the kick lever is a horrible shape, mounted very high, rides right next to the bike and your boot typically hits the footpeg at about 3/4 stroke.

2007年12月12日 · You can fit a V-Force reed cage. The one for the 1987 CR250R coincidentally fits both the 1983 CR480R and the 1979 CR250R. This bike really doesn't need to go any faster. I would recommend suspension work as a priority: Race Tech Emulators, Eibach springs front and back, and a shock re-valve from Tru Technologies.

2013年1月12日 · I just got a '83 CR480R from a friend. he had it in storage and was going to restore, but needed the room. the PO let it sit outside and water got into the cylinder. it's not too bad, the cylinder walls had some light surface rust that wiped out with some WD-40 and the crank still turns over smoothly. it has been stored dry after the initial tear down.
