Carbon dioxide - NIST Chemistry WebBook
Notice: Except where noted, spectra from this collection were measured on dispersive instruments, often in carefully selected solvents, and hence may differ in detail from measurements on FTIR instruments or in other chemical environments. More information on the manner in which spectra in this collection were collected can be found here.
CO2 Vibrations and IR Spectrum - University at Buffalo School of ...
This is an IR spectrum of CO 2 corresponding to the vibrations below. Clicking on a peak will take you to corresponding vibration. These vibrations are the result of a C++ program. For an explanation of how it works, click here.

Quantitative Infrared Database - NIST Chemistry WebBook
The NIST Quantitative Infrared Database currently consists of a collection of absorption coefficient spectra of volatile organic compounds. These spectra were measured from primary gas standards prepared and verified at NIST. Spectra are provided in 5 resolutions from 2.00 cm −1 to 0.125 cm −1 using 5 apodization functions. The data file ...
There is a third, weak band in the spectrum of CO2 at around 3700 cm-1. It is a combination band due to excitation of two of the modes. Which two? OCS is isoelectronic with CO2 and both involve carbon doubly bonded to two group 16 elements. The full IR spectrum of OCS is shown overleaf.
The real FTIR spectrum of CO2 (wonkish) - Blogger
Dec 1, 2015 · In order to demonstrate the potential for CO 2 gas to replace HCl gas in a common physical chemistry experiment, FTIR spectroscopy was performed on CO 2. Techniques such as the inclusion of P 2 O 5 in the gas cell were applied to reduce interference by water.
the development of a Fourier Transfor m Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) based method for δ13C-CO2 determination in CO 2 in air mixtures is presented. The FTIR can be calibrated by a classica l approach based on primary calibration gas standards, but an alternative calibration can be based on the generation
