2008年8月15日 · Anyone USed a 454 Motor in a CJ? I might have arealy good price (like almost free) on a 1993 Chevy 4x4 with the 7+ liter engine. It says 454 on the valve cover. I could also get a motor in 5+ liter (I believe the 350) for really cheap. These are complete trucks, but I would prolly only be looking for an engine, possible a tranny. What do you think?

2001年10月2日 · Any one out there tried to fit a 454 BB Chevy into a 1976 CJ5? I plan on trying doing the swap, along with a reinforced TH350 tranny. Please give me comments on the subject.

2008年7月15日 · IF you've got a T176 4spd, it should hold up decent to a 351W. Otherwise, all bets are off, since the only other transmission in a 1981 CJ5 was a SR4: http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/sr4.htm (the T4 & T5 became available in 1982 - and they wouldn't hold up either). The 400/351M is a big lug of an engine.

2009年10月2日 · So here's the thing, I have a '66 CJ5 that currently has 350 SBC in it and i am in source for more power, Big Block Power. SBC 350 mildly built - for now. Th-350 transmission with shift kit. Dana 20 transfer case. Coil spring front/rear.

Read Novak's detailed CJ Gen III+ conversion instruction package as provided with our engine mounts. A "little" history is a difficult thing when discussing the Jeep CJ, but essentially, the CJ's of the 1980-1986 era were nearly identical to the CJ's of the 1974-1979 era.

2011年5月10日 · I need to figure out how to convert my Stihl chainsaw and my weed eater to run on diesel. Here is a link of a CJ with a 6.0 Powerstroke. It is about the same size as a BBC but is a lot heavier! Got to love that video! Oh i am with you on the powerstroke. Just do not have that in my garage.... But if I did............:drool:

2012年7月22日 · Radiator, Engine, Transmission , Transfer Case and Exhaust System and replace with a New Radiator, Chevy BB, Transmission and Transfer Case as a matched system. Does anyone have experience on this conversion? I will never understand why some of you guys think you need big block power in a short wheel base Jeep. They are not a hotrod but a 4x4.
