Feb 3, 2013 · I have been researching this folder and am 98% sure that it is a folder to facilitate burning a backup Windows Installation/Recovery DVD. Both Windows and Dell have this as an option for user selection. Once selected, I believe the c:\apps folder is built and then the burn process initiated to burn the contents of the top level folder.

Jan 27, 2012 · I just came upon a folder C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\CrashDumps that contains 9 files named "nero.exe.xxxx.dmp" average size 41,000KB each. They are dated back to the installation/problem time period (over a month ago). Since I no longer have the nero application on my system, can these files be manually deleted?

Dec 31, 2011 · The safe way to do it from Windows is to just run disk cleanup. Disk Cleanup - Open and Use EDIT: I'm not 100% sure the above cleans out that particular folder but running Disk Cleanup is a good place to start anyway.

Sep 12, 2013 · Unfortunately my C: is partitioned & drive is only using 30GB & AppData is using 5GB of space. Total size of the drive is 500 GB (my whole goal was to prevent this from happening. I figured 30GB would be enough to just hold my programs/apps but i didn't know enough at the time.), my Windows folder is also taking up 16.5GB (Sheesh!!!).

Jan 24, 2012 · If I understand correctly, the 'C' drive has more space on it than the 'D' drive, and the 'D' drive is running out of room.
