Why is the Bujinkan and ninjutsu so poorly regarded in the martial arts community? I've been practising it for two years and found that a lot of other arts (karate, kendo, juijutsu, etc) think very poorly of the Bujinkan. One senior kendo teacher once said something along the line that they (the Bujinkan) "don't understand proper swordsmanship".

Bujinkan is as fake as all other "ninja schools". - Reddit
2019年10月13日 · Also Bujinkan critics almost always fail to explain how Takamatsu actually formulated the nine schools. I can’t remember the link, but one of the best explanations I’ve heard is that Takamatsu cross-trained in various Bujutsu schools and probably some kung fu schools as well and then made up, not the entire system, but the ninja elements ...
Bujinkan and misinformation : r/Bujinkan - Reddit
2020年12月11日 · The Bujinkan itself is a hall of mirrors and full of disinformation. Perhaps because Hatsumi is actually crazy and doesn't give af. Or perhaps he is practicing some high level spycraft to hide in plain sight.

2021年5月9日 · I would say that they are what the Bujinkan training would be like today if "traditionalists" and Americans (I'm an American) didn't mess it up. So, Doron Navon was the first non-Japanese person to reach high rank in the Bujinkan. I talk about it in the KM subreddit sometimes, but early Krav Maga required students to go out and study other arts ...

Is Bujinkan really generally as bad as people say? : r/martialarts
2021年1月31日 · I would say Bujinkan dojos are bs cash grab and you are learning wrong things. Masaaki Hatsumi doesn't know any ninjutsu and he is a liar who only practiced Koryu Jujutsu styles from his master Takamatsu and Judo. all of the techniques in Bujinkan are his inventions and he is teaching his own jujutsu techniques as ninjutsu.
Kihon Happo : r/Bujinkan - Reddit
2020年6月18日 · Technically, you're correct. Kihon happo is a set of techniques, divided in two categories (koshi kihon and torite kihon) that come from the Gyoko Ryu, and contain somewhat the basis of the whole bujinkan. It is said that you can train only doing Kihon Happo and Gohio/Sanshin no kata, and understand the fundamentals of bujinkan with only that.
