
Bui Dam - Wikipedia
The Bui Dam is a 400-megawatt (540,000 hp) hydroelectric project in Ghana. It is built on the Black Volta river at the Bui Gorge, at the southern end of Bui National Park. The project was a collaboration between the government of Ghana and Sino Hydro, a Chinese state-owned construction company. Construction on the main dam began in December 2009.
Hydro Solar Hybrid - Bui Power
The HSH facility is aimed at augmenting and preserving the Bui reservoir by the generation of solar power when complete. This will be Ghana’s first hybrid plant utilizing both solar and hydro resources to generate and supply power to the national grid.

Bui Generating Station - Bui Power
The Bui Generating Station, located on the Black Volta River, which is the boundary between the Savannah and Bono regions, was commissioned on December 19, 2013. It has an installed capacity of 404MW from four generating units including three 133.33MW Francis Turbine Units and a 4MW Turbinette.

BPA has completed the construction of a 5MWp Floating Solar PV System on the Bui reservoir. It is the first of its kind in the West African sub-region. The floating solar power plant is an innovative approach of using photovoltaic modules on water infrastructures to conserve the land along with increase in efficiency of the module.
