2023年9月30日 · Hi! I’ve been extremely curious on the origins of the phrase “buh-bye”. It’s used when ending conversations either over the phone or in person and hardly ever in writing. To the best of my knowledge, this phrase is never taught - but introduced through baby-talk.

As far as I can remember the chorus sort of sounds like this "buhbuhbuh buh buh buh buh- buhbuhbuh buh buh buh- buhbuhbuh buh buh buh buh- its gonna be alllll right" where it's 3 words/sound quickly followed by 3 or 4 words/sounds more slowly and it ends along the lines of "everything is gonna be alright/ its gonna be alright" where the "al" part is drawn out?
