2024年3月4日 · Most Bubba "upgrades" are actually shoddy to use. Lots of mounts that don't hold zero, plastic stocks that feel worse than original, unnecessary muzzle devices etc. It's best to leave your SKS as Simonov/God intended. IMO the only folks who get a Bubba pass are people in active warzones, or people in ban states (which sadly applies to me now).

2020年12月17日 · For my Chinese Sks I have the original wood stock and I have a Phoenix tech stock with a mission first tactical vertical fore grip and a green lazer, I don't deem this as Bubba because in a mater of 10 seconds I could change stocks and It would be completely original and be none modified, and that is the beauty of the Sks.

2024年3月21日 · OG stock, bayonet, cleaning rod, and magazine are all gone. I already have a mostly original SKS, so I’m planning on keeping this one bubbafied and using it to learn some things. Question 1: I want a better stock, this one just doesn’t feel great to me. Also flipping the safety off is tough.

2: There's a fine line between practical, tasteful modification, and bubba. All the changes this guy made are practical, reversible, and inoffensive. 2018年6月18日 · A bubba job is any irreversible modification done to a firearm, most people only care about the military firearms because they have history associated with them. But it’s your rifle so do what you want, so refinishing the stock may be a tasteful bubba job, but most detract from the value if you ever sell it no matter how much plastic you bolt on.

I have an sks I want to throw a stock on because i liked the way it felt with the pistol grip when i picked one up at the local shop. I want to save the original stock and leave the rifle as unmolested as possible. I like that you can put a foregrip on the tapco, but I've read conflicting reviews about the quality of the stock.

2020年2月18日 · I recently picked up an SKS that had its original wood furniture, but it was all horriblely spray painted black. I stripped the paint off and am in the process of treating it with natural tung oil to give restore it to its former glory. So far its looking good.
