Boston University's Fitness and Recreation Center at Boston University opened on April 1, 2005. The building provides approximately 270,000 square feet of space, supporting physical education, non-credit courses, intramurals, club sports, student organizations and much more.

Students living in BU Housing on the Fenway campus now have access to a fitness facility with over 25 brand-new pieces of state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment. *Operated by BU Athletics: 617-353-4632. Members of the Fitness & Recreation Center also gain access to Walter Brown Arena, located at 285 Babcock Street.

The Boston University Fitness and Recreation Center (or FitRec) is an athletic facility at Boston University. [1] Built in 2004–2005 to replace the aging and inadequate Case Gym, the FitRec was built on the site of a National Guard Armory, to which there is a nod in the form of an informative plaque, found just west of the building. [2]
