I remember it being more than an ice cream shop - nice counter or sit down meals were served there including breakfast. Great food friendly staff too. It was there were I started my double breakfast habit - first at home, second there.

Good News! I just heard back from the owner - He's waiting on some staff to finish up College and also some hold-ups with ---- you guessed it ---- Frozen Yogurt!!

After many emails back and forth with Mike's Ice Cream Truck we were unable to come up with a date that would work for them to come for our family gathering. Our Hackettstown location seemed to be too far for them to come to. All was not lost as we purchased half gallons of ice cream with all the toppings and the kids were just as happy.

Alstede Farms is the best!!! Tons of animals to see and you can feed them too!! You can buy the feed bags there is the store or outside. Stymie is right they are busy on the weekends but not bad if that's all you want to do. The ice cream is fantastic!!

Nice ice cream on crepes. Can't go wrong and exceptionally friendly people. Not full restaurants, but the other places for sure to take them are Demi's for biscotti, brownies, and whoopie pies, Rita's for the ice, and Tracy's for all of the retro candy. Runner up in Mansfield, Cold Stone for add-in ice cream of their own design.

I have been going to the Vanilla Market for years - at least 10. When I lived in Passaic County and visiting my sister in Hackettstown, I won a bid on WRNJ radio-thon, that's how I became acquainted with Vanilla Market.
