The Boomi Artesian Pool draws mineral rich hot artesian water from a depth of 1,222 meters from the Great Artesian Basin and has been used to swim in since its construction in 1905. Construction of the present day baths was commenced in 1975 and the latest addition of the spa baths was in 1996.
