So it seems that boludo is a way to curse and call somebody an idiot. However, what would be the complete meaning of it? Is it a word to use just among friends? Is it used in other countries throughout South America? Also, what is its origin? There seem to be a wide range of explanations for its usage (source: etimologías de Chile on boludo).
