With sandy beaches backed by dunes, no natural predators and very little disturbance, Blakeney Point in Norfolk is the perfect place for grey seals to live and give birth to around 4,000 pups each year. They can be seen here all year round, but between late October and mid-January, large numbers congregate to give birth and breed.

Blakeney Point is home to England's largest grey seal colony with around 4,500 pups born between the end of October and mid-January each year. 2023年1月29日 · Blakeney Point in the National Trust Blakeney National Nature Reserve is home to England’s largest grey seal colony, as well as many summer breeding birds, and is the best place to see seals in Norfolk. The easiest way to get up close to the wildlife on Blakeney Point is to book a boat trip.

The colony at Blakeney Point is made up of Common and Grey seals and in recent Winters has been the biggest colony in England. Common seals have their young between June and August, and the Greys between November and January. Both suckle their pups for about three weeks during which time they grow very quickly.

The best way to see the wildlife on Blakeney Point is to enjoy a seal trip, with Bishop’s Boats. Blakeney Point has one of the largest Grey seal colony’s in England, and thousands of breeding Sandwich terns that migrate there every March until late August.
