^ Warr, L.N. IMA–CNMNC approved mineral symbols. Mineralogical Magazine. 2021, 85 (3): 291–320. …

For Bismuth in its composition. NOTE: Numerous localities for bismuth oxides have been reported, but modern confirmation is required, as most have proven to be carbonates, etc. As of 2021 there are now IMA–CNMNC approved mineral symbols (abbreviations) for each mineral species, useful for tables and diagrams.

Bismite
Tiny, bright yellow, scaly crystals of bismite on quartz. Purchased in 2021. The photo is far from perfect, but the only one showing crystals from this locality, and hence better than nothing in my opinion! An improved version will be taken, pending better equipment! © Andrew Hodgson

Bismite - Encyclopedia
Bismite is a rare bismuth oxide. It is a mineral of high density (more than 8) which results from the oxidation of bismuth minerals in the superficial zone of high temperature veins. Its name derives from its chemical composition : bismuth. In collection samples, confusion with bismutite, bismuth carbonate, seems frequent. It forms earthy to ...
Bismite (Bismite) - Rock Identifier
Bismite is a bismuth oxide mineral, bismuth trioxide or Bi2O3. It is a monoclinic mineral, but the typical form of occurrence is massive and clay-like with no macroscopic crystals. The color varies from green to yellow.
