2020年8月14日 · Keith didn't start playing bass until "Let's Spend The Night Together" in late '66, so everything up to that point would be Bill, with a particular shout out to the Chess Studios material, where ol' Perky really excels IMO Beggars Banquet is a cool Wyman bass album as well, he busts out his old homemade fretless for a few of the tracks giving a ...

2020年8月14日 · Should anyone be interested in diving into the world of The Rhythm Kings, their 2 CD album entitled Double Bill from 2001 is the best of an impressive array of at least 5 studio albums and (at least) an eqaul number of live albums. The playing and the recording of Bill's bass (and it is Bill playing throughout) are superb.

2020年8月14日 · Bill Wyman is the best electric bassist to ever consistently play his guitar as if he were playing an acoustic stand up bass - how was that even comfortable?! I think it was Jimmy Miller that said he knew it would be a great take in the studio when Bill’s bass went up at that weird angle. Bill & Charlie grooved together perfectly.

2020年8月14日 · Ronnie played bass in the Jeff Beck Group, so he was more than comfortable with the instrument. One of the reasons I suspect Bill Wyman didn't get more respect was his willingness to let others have a crack at playing bass in the studio. Ronnie on "Emotional Rescue" stands out, but also Keith playing the bass on "Sympathy For The Devil".
Rolling Stones Undercover of the Night with Wyman on bass?
2018年9月2日 · I don't think it's ever been 100% confirmed that Robbie Shakespeare played bass on "Undercover Of The Night" instead of Bill Wyman, but the playing on the track sure sounds like Shakespeare- much moreso than Bill, Keith or Ron Wood playing bass. Sly Dunbar does play the electronic drums on the track as well (as he does throughout the album) so ...

2020年8月14日 · Bill Wyman played bass on a couple of track on Stephen Stills' Manassas album, Hillman basically being Stills' co-conspirator in that band. Bill supposedly told Dallas Taylor (Manassas' drummer) he would have quit the Stones in a heartbeat if Manassas had asked him to join. A few of the Manassas guys play on Monkey Grip and Stone Alone.
Where was Bill Wyman during the 'Exile on Main Street' recording ...
2005年9月17日 · I just purchased the remastered 'Exile on Main Street' CD (mastered by Bob Ludwig). I noticed in the CD booklet credits that on 10 (out of the 18) tracks someone other than Bill Wyman is credited with playing bass. Where was he? Was there more than one bass players on these ten tracks? Was he playing another instrument (uncredited) on these tracks?

2008年7月23日 · Bill Wyman: The bass player for the Stones! I mean, the bass player. That's pretty hot! I have all his solo albums. Pretty darn good. I dig Bill Wyman! I'd love to go to his resturant in London. Every time I fly through London I always have connecting flights, ugh. It's a Stones 'history type' resturant with all their equipment of old.

2008年7月23日 · For what it's worth, I read an interview with Chris Hillman and he mentioned that he still misses Bill's bass playing with the Stones. He liked what Bill brought to the band. I have to admire a guy though that gets to a certain age and walks away from the hoopla to enjoy some private life despite the pressure from Keith, etc.
