Ben Lurie (born 13 June 1968) is a British musician, best known as a member of the Scottish alternative rock band the Jesus and Mary Chain from 1989 to 1998. Ben Lurie was born in London and moved to Australia when he was four. In high school, he formed the band Sons of Sorrow with bassist Warwick Yuen and drummer Paul Zezula.

Mr. Benjamin Lurie, also known as Ben, CFA, was an Associate at Equity Group Investments (EGI). Lurie joined EGI in 2011 and primarily focused on evaluating possible new investments and monitoring existing investments.

Ben Lourie serves as an Associate Professor of Accounting at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine. His research centers around equity analysts, human capital and household finance.
