2015年12月24日 · As for "Beherit", that just doesn't make sense either. ベヘリット translates to Beheritto. In Japanese, you don't pronounce R's like you would in English. While the context you mentioned is nice in theory and does match with Berserk atmospherically, I suppose, the R would still become an L. Behelit is the correct translation.

The name "behelit" probably comes from the word "beherit", which is according to wikipedia the Syriac word for Satan. So probably similarly to Ganishka-Kanishka and Gaiseric-Genseric, Miura took a real existing name/word and changed a letter or two in order to make it his own, while preserving the meaning behind it.
