The Noctua appears to be a couple of db quieter, but is almost twice the price for the fan, which when buying two of them (the NAS has two fans), is a consideration.

The best solution is to put the nas a place that a nas normally won't be--in a closet, under a bed, etc. No one really needs to see the nas--just have access.
