Theres a cool fight scene in BvS where batman actually uses his gauntlet against some armed and unarmed opponents I believe. In the trilogy you see him wear gauntlets with three spikes on each. Would they be practical at all or just get in the way?

In the Dark Knight Trilogy they're what he uses when he trains with the League; to block sword swipes. He also can shoot them out like he does at the end of TDK to Joker. The gauntlets are there so he could disarm/block enemies armed with edged or bladed weapons. He sometimes uses them offensively too.
