This unexpected appearance of the two Simpson daughters is a delightful, hilarious surprise to the audience. Later, we see that the Raven himself bears a striking resemblance to Bart Simpson. Simon uses Homer to satirize “The Raven” through interlacing his voice with the voice of the Narrator (James Earl Jones).

On the other hand, Bart is the Raven, the creature gnawing at the soul of his victim. Marge was Lenore, which was completely understandable; and, Lisa played the part as the narrator, even if her voice was overlapped by James Earl Jones' voice.
