Face mask vs. balaclava vs. neck gaiter vs. scarf-what do you prefer ...
2022年12月18日 · The neck gaiter works well too, just pull it up when you want to cover your face. I tend to wear the balaclava more though because the neck gaiter puts a lot of material around my neck, which makes it hard sometimes to zip/button the neck area of my coats. What would be nice is a velcro-closure merino wool face mask for easy on/off.
A Shemagh And It's Many Uses - Bushcraft USA Forums
2020年6月21日 · I was out last night for a quick overnighter. About an hour after dark I heard buzzing and had several mosquito's try to land on my face ( I was in my sleeping bag with just a tarp for cover). I grabbed my shemagh from my pack, folded it in half and put it over my face like a sheet, DONE! I slept like a baby. Once again, glad I had it with me.
A Really Good Bandanna? | Bushcraft USA Forums
2020年6月17日 · I wear one of the basic model bandanas almost every day. I fold it in half, to make a triangle, and then tie a small knot in one corner. Then wrap the other corner around that and tie a simple overhand knot it it., so I have a slip knot. Now I can adjust the tightness of it around my face and head and wear it like a mask (mandatory in some places).

2017年10月2日 · 1) $60 Arctic Circle Soviet Ushanka: this one has longer ear flaps and is more rare than the standard ones. I got it from Ushanka.com and had the size 60 professionally stretched by them to around a 62 so it will fit my big head. When I got it 2 years ago, they said it was the last of the large ones they had. It also has a button on face mask.

2017年11月19日 · Made a mask for my hatchet. I added a welt over the previous design of my tomahawk. I am leaving the bottom part unstitched for now to see how it will do. If it’s too much trouble I can add a few stitches to fix that problem. I really need to get some leather tools. Using these scissors is getting tiresome.
