I used to use a Polartec balaclava combo thing, thick around the neck and thin under the helmet but it wasn't long enough to really cover my face enough when I needed it.

2018年1月16日 · The Dissent balaclava i got after that has been perfect... and somehow doesn't ice up at all despite no open 'blowholes' for mouth or nose. I think the stretch and close fit helps keep your breath out and googles clear... whatever, it works great with goggles happily on the balaclava material around the eyes.

2015年11月23日 · So far, the top and bottoms feel like something between a light synthetic layer and a smartwool base layer product. It will be interesting to see if Le Bent transports moisture as well as the former with the warmth of the latter. So far, the balaclava which worked very nicely on a 42f road bike ride a couple days ago.

2022年11月25日 · Wifey and I use Smith Vantage helmets, Smith Goggles w/ a Bula balaclava. Never an issue down to minus 10 and she generally runs super cold but has zero issues w/ the Vantage and her Bula Balaclava. At minus 10 down to minus 35 she upgrades to her Klim Glacier Balaclava. Also Klim Allure jckt and bibs.

2019年11月8日 · Very important points here. Warmth comes from blood circulation. A warm (not thick & spongy) helmet liner or balaclava is very important. Add ample insulation on the upper body. Warm pants for that freezing chair lift seat. Good blood circulation in the feet. The chemical handwarmers are a very good idea.
