Baby Elmo is Elmo as a baby. He appears in the Sesame Beginnings home video series, primarily with his father. Baby Elmo is 13 months old, and is the youngest character on the show.

Elmo asks a baby a question in every episode of Elmo's World. Though each episode generally features only one or two babies, the series uses a different infant each time, showcasing different genders, ethnicities, and levels of awareness. Sometimes the baby will simply stare blankly.

Ba-Ba Baby Elmo is an interactive Elmo toy made by Fisher-Price in 2008. The official desciption states: “ Ba-Ba Baby Elmo is a cute plush that is very thirsty and asks to have his ba-ba. Kids can feed baby Elmo by moving Elmo’s arms to place the bottle into Elmo’s mouth.
