The mission of BYU–Hawaii is to prepare students of Oceania and the Asian Rim to be lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ and leaders in their families, communities, chosen fields, and in building the kingdom of God.

Through its small campus environment, global perspective, and commitment to both academic rigor and spiritual enrichment, BYU–Hawaii cultivates an environment where students can develop personally, professionally, and spiritually.

BYU–Hawaii provides a capstone experience for students seeking a faith-based education in a globally diverse environment. With a special focus on students from the Pacific Islands and Asia, the university prepares graduates to become leaders in their families, communities, and fields.

BYU–Hawaii offers a wide range of academic programs, including majors, minors, and certificates across the arts, humanities, math, science, and professional studies. These programs allow students to explore a variety of topics and dive deeply into their chosen fields of study.

With a current enrollment of approximately 2,700 students who represent over 70 different countries and cultures from the Pacific Rim and other parts of the world, BYU–Hawaii has the highest percentage of international students for any United States university.
