The BSA unit single B50's 500 cc enjoyed much improvement in the hands of the CCM motorcycle company allowing the basic BSA design to continue until the mid to late 1970s in a competitive form all over Europe. The final BSA range was just four models: Gold Star 500, 650 Thunderbolt/Lightning and the 750 cc Rocket Three.

BSA var verdens største MC-produsent etter andre verdenskrig, da merket også hadde tatt Triumph inn i porteføljen. Etter noen turbulente år er BSA altså endelig tilbake i Norge. Eager to develop an innovative, new generation of products for BSA, in 1949 he roughed out the concept of a 250cc single simply coded MC1 with a horizontal cylinder and four radial valves operated by short, chain-driven, overhead camshafts connected by bevel gears.

2022年3月26日 · BSA was looking for a forward thinking design to carry on the success of the Gold Star. The original concept came from Bert Hopwood in 1949, Doug Hele did much of the following development. It featured an interesting frame design with leading link fork and a cantilever rear suspension with a single shock.
