I've raced both, the R1 WILL be an easier, cheaper, more enjoyable bike to go fast on track out of the box (after removing the ABS) As mentioned by the guy in the first post, you need to spend more money on the bmw to get to the same level as the R1 on track IMHO. The BMW is only fast around a circuit when you are able to extract it.

2015年4月22日 · A little heavy to transition side to side, you get a good workout on the BMW compared to the ape and R1 when pushing it. The electronics on the BMW are just as good as the RSV4. I Think of the BMW as a Honda CBR1000RR that is less refined, but better, if that makes any sense. R1 - Why would you want an R1 when compared to an S1000RR or RSV4?

2021年8月27日 · I have a base Panigale V4 currently and I love it, and it turns heads. The Ducati and the S1000RR were sitting side-by-side and my eye was drawn to the Ducati. The BMW just looked like another Yamaha R1. The sales person was talking about the features, electronics package of the S1000RR, and how it does this and has that.

2022年6月12日 · The R1 and hell any Yamaha bike I’ve owned or ridden is a great motorcycle. If I go down the Super Sport rabbit hole again it’s definitely at the top of my list. The H2 SE, CBR 1000rr, BMW 1000RR and Ducati V4 are among the list too.

2023年7月14日 · Yeah i heard that u get a lot of wrist pain from the r1, and i also heard its pretty uncomfortable. But i dont like how the gsxr looks. I only like R1, S1000rr and ducsti v4, but ducati is to expensive to maintain. R1 just looks so sexy in my opinion. Maybe it’s possible to lower the seat so the wrist dont get to much weight?

I own a GSX-R1000R and love the bike. Bullet proof engine and flawless in shifting up and down. Have owned R1, Ducati and Triumph. I ride the canyon and tracking. Remember this is a sport bike not an upright naked. After a while it's no fun in the city and canyons. I am looking for a up right bike now. BMW's are very expensive and unreliable.

2022年3月14日 · Interesting! I noticed a lot of people said BMW isn’t the best reliable bike. I’m on fence between Yamaha R1 and BMW S1000RR. Just want to see why y’all chose S1000RR and not any of other super sport bikes.
