2013年8月10日 · AFAIK Belteshezzar is right and there's no easy way to plumb a turbo, which is why the DASC is the only "easy button" speed option for the M44. Which, admittedly, saddens me. BMW built their name on the 2002, which did just fine with an I4. Shame the M44 sucks.

2011年7月1日 · It's all pretty straightforward, really. No tricks. Just start taking things apart. In the meantime you can find some of the M42 parts that were metal to replace the ones on your M44 that are plastic (coolant nipples, etc). Don't worry that half the valvecover bolts are stripped, that's why they have so many.

2012年3月5日 · I have a 97 318i, this weekend I was replacing the water pump and thermostat but turned into a bit of a fiasco when I stripped the torx T50 on the serpentine belt tensioner. I never claimed to be a BMW engineer, but this just seems like a horrible design destined for failure. Why it's not a hex cap screw is beyond my comprehension.

2014年7月6日 · I have a 1/96 318ti with the M44 motor and EWS2. I took apart the intake manifold, coolant hoses and wiring to replace parts. Now I'm getting no crank at all when I turn the key. My battery reads 12.6+ volts and all my accessories work. No blown fuses. The wiring is all connected up to the correct connectors.
