2020年7月6日 · Blc/2 is the most temperature sensitive powder I have ever worked with. I would get great groups (.25)at 50 degrees, then with the same load, groups would open up to 2” at 80 degrees. This was in a .222 Rem. 40 grain bullet. The starting load in the Sierra manual. It got worse as I increased the charge. So I had a slow, winter only load.

2015年2月10日 · DO NOT attempt reduced loads with BLC-2 or 2520! That is trouble. IMR3031 is faster than optimum, but may cycle your Garand at about 36-38 grains. I use 40 grains of IMR4064 with the HM2-.312-160-5 bullet in my M1, for 2200 fps. Attachment 130375

2016年3月14日 · Remington 7 1/2 primer is one of the hottest SR primers. If you substituted it for a Fed 205 or CCI, that could likely be what caused the pressure problem. OAL from the book is based on length to tip of bullet. Use a bullet of a different ogive and the jump to the lands could be very different. Lots of people swear by the BLC-2 powder in the 204.

2008年2月4日 · This load has proven to be accurate in all the .204's that I've worked with, other powders may do a bit better in some rifles, but BLC-2 and RL-10X seem to work well across the board. I favor the BLC-2 only because of the burn rates differences between lots of RL-10X. N-133 is worth a try,may be my favorite)in any .204.

2011年2月14日 · 28grs of Mil-Surp BLC-2 with Toilet paper filler with that .312-185gr LEE boolit got me around 1800fps in my no 4 Enfield in 303 Brit. Take the load as a start, drop the powder a couple of grains and work up so it doesn't mess up your SMLE. I'm not sure what commercial BLC-2 would give you for velocity or pressure.
